*instantly starts humming totoro-theme*
You know, I have to try quite hard NOT to get up right now, get the dvd and watch that movie again now. Considering that I was more in the mood to watch movies with many dead people in it... you did definitely a great job. ^^ It's actually pretty rare that a drawing makes me grin along plus is better for relaxing than any of my normal means.

Anyway. I'm sure you don't want me to write a long essay about how good it is, right? So, here I go.

(Which is - just fyi - harder every time... just fyi). I first wanted to say that her arms are a bit long. But I think it's more her tights: They are a bit short. The knee pretty much *splits* the leg into two parts of about the same length. But simply making those parts longer would end up with her looking more adult than you had intended, so I would say, the body size and -height is good, it's just that the arms came out a bit long and the legs uneven.

Compared to the original the ears of Totoro are a bit long but somehow this makes it instantly recognizable as your work. =^^= Really wonder what G.I. said, when he saw that one, btw. Heck, it DOES look like him! O_O
In a scary totoroish way.

Be careful not to simplify hands too much. I tend to do the same and it's hard to get away from it again. <.< I know what I'm talking about here. >.<

All together a wonderful work that is very much in the style of the Ghibli Studio. =^^= And pure curiousity: How big is this one? I know you too well, when it comes to drawings: I bet I see it bigger than it is in RL.

Now for the stars again:
Vision: Uhm... yes, I still have only a very slight idea what vision is. But... if it IS what I think it is, this deserves the star(e)s.

Originality: Totoro and clearly in your style. 4 Stars here!

Technique: You're getting there with the watercolours! And you keep the colours very strong and clean, which I like (and never can do myself. XD I always end up with gray and shades of the very same).

Impact: Heck, Totoro-theme still sticks to my head. I guess this makes it deserve its 4.5 stars.
